My favourite book? I've had many over the years!
* I have to say the Harry Potter series remains to be one of the best. I started reading at 7 and haven't stopped! :)
*I love 'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown- a bit cliched I know, but I love the mystery and intelligence within it.
*'My Sisters Keeper' by Jodi Piccoult really moved me, I read it about 5 years ago now, before all the hype over her and the film (which I still haven't seen).
* 'My Best Friend's Gir' by Dorothy Koomson is an amazing book. I really reccomend her as an author actually.
* 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'. If you like DW, or TWD, or Merlin, or anything similar you MUST read this book. You will love it. I assume most of you have!
* 'A Picture of Dorian Grey' by Oscar Wilde. I've always loved Oscar Wilde (even as a kid with 'The Happy Prince') and when I was old enough to read a 'classic' without falling asleep or being deemed uncool I got my hands on Dorian Grey and...wow.
There are probably so many I haven't mentioned! Those will be my favourite few though. And just FYI, no, I don't like the Twilight books. Yes, I have read them all, and yes, I will still get excited over the movies. So shoot me! :)

My Favourite TV programme? Hmm! Many and varied!
Generally I'd say 'Doctor Who' and/or 'Torchwood'. For obvious reasons!
I'm a big supporter of homegrown British shows, I think a lot of people take them for granted, or ignore them, and some people in other countries really don't know what they're missing out on! I love British dramas/comedies like 'Being Human', 'Merlin' (♥), 'Queer as Folk UK', 'Skins', 'Misfits', 'Beautiful People', 'Casanova', 'Gavin and Stacey' and 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl', oh and of course the pannel shows 'Nevermind the Buzzcocks' and 'Mock the Week' as well as interview show 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross'.
That doesn't mean to say I don't love Drama/Comedies from across the pond too! I'm a big fan of 'Scrubs' 'Ugly Betty', 'Brothers & Sisters' and 'Desperate Housewives', to name a few. And one of my favourite ever shows, and the only TV show I own EVERY SINGLE EPISODE on DVD; 'Friends'! Oh, and the short-lived 'Kings' was pretty much epic and amazing. 'Queer as Folk US' is also one of my favourite EVER shows. Oh yeah, and heard of a little show called 'Glee'? :D ♥
As for reality shows? I love the modelling shows 'America's/Britain's Next Top Model' and 'Make Me A Supermodel' - it's my favourite kind of 'it's a lazy Sunday' or 'Hangover' TV! I like 'X Factor' and 'American Idol' for my sins.... :) Also I dip in and out of Big Brother UK, sometimes I like it, most of the time it's just something on! I used to be a BIG fan of Strictly Come Dancing, but my interest waned this year...Oh and currently I'm addicted to 'So You Think You Can Dance' the British Version. It finished next week! :(
Oh, and I'm a student so I like soaps... :D I used to be obsessed with 'Hollyoaks' but the golden years have gone I'm afraid to say, and at the moment I'm really into Eastenders, it's gone up in my books in reccent years. Of course, American soaps are dramatic and unrealistic but I still watch bits of them, mainly gay interest storylines such as Luke/Noah on 'As the World Turns' (Kill me) and 'Kyle/Fish' on 'One Life to Live'. And I LOVE German soaps.. mainly 'Alles was Zahlt' (Anything Roman/Deniz, Annette/Ingo, Jenny/Marian... etc. Oh and HOW CUTE IS KATJA?!) and 'Verbotene Liebe' but I only watch now because of the pretty, because the stprylines are crap at the mo. And reccently I'm getting into the Spanish 'Fisica O Quimica' Fer/David storylines, which is really interesting! :)
Have I missed anything out? Most likely! I've probably missed loads of important ones! I know it's a long list, but you've got to remember that some of these programmes are finished now, they're not all on at the same time and.... I'm a student so I have a lot of free time (that's my excuse anyway...)

So my favourite movie? This, like my favourite song, varies depending on when you ask me! I absoloutely love the 'Back to the Future' Trilogy, 'Love Actually' and 'Brdiget Jones'. Of course there's the Harry Potter films, which I love. I also have a penchant for the 'Final Destination' films. Although only the first 3, the last one was rubbish! I love the films 'Billy Elliot' and 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' Oh, and of course there's musicals! I love 'My Fair Lady', 'Moulin Rogue', 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'Chicago'. calliglad has been posting more than you have. *facepalm*. I'm truly sorry. I do love you, I just have a manic life... and that's no excuse I know. For shame. Seeing as I am ill, and taking a break from studying for about 3 days, I promise at some point within that 3 days I will write an update on my life AND my fandoms. Because I love you LJ. It's been nearly 2 years of love actually... I got my LJ on 09/03/2008. <3 Woop.And it sounds stupid but LJ actually HAS changed my life... anyways I intend to save the deepness for the anniversary post... which WILL come.... :)

And I don't really know why, but today I started looking at my options for after my undergraduate studies (I figure I'll have to start applying in a year or so, so might as well start looking!). For those of you that don't know, I am in my first year of a Bachelor's in English and Drama and in the past I've always thought about doing a years PGCE (to become a teacher), taking a gap year and then maybe going on to study Drama Therapy for a few years. But I've really started thinking about stage management as an option. I mean, I've never really been on the side of the line in drama that is 'technical', more the 'perfromance' or 'theory' sides, but I really enjoyed my stint as Deputy Stage Manager last year in a professional (albeit small) theatre. I also am really locing studying 'Contemporary Scene' in drama, which does what it says on the tin really, but we have looked more at 'theory' and 'technical' parts of drama in that module and it really interests me. Which isn't to say I'm going off performing-or English for that matter. But yeah, stage management keeps popping up in my head.I could always do the teaching and then SM. I've looked at MA's in 'Stage Management' and there are only 2 places in the UK that I can do it, and they're both Drama Schools (so hard to get into and generally a bit pompous). One being CSSD in London and the other being RWCD in Cardiff (I'd love to go to Wales and study SM!) I suppose I'll have to get some more experience so that a) I can see if it's really for me and b) to get more experience, to help with applications if I decide that's what I want to do! I'll let you guys know! Sorry for the BLAH.

Just so you guys know- I love uni. I love Pompey. I love being independent. I love being a student! Of course I miss my friends and family, and my hometown, and some things are hard, but I can;t help but feel I'm finally moving on. I love my home, I do, but I think I really got stuck in a rut back at home, I got a bit depressed with my life- mundane and repetitave, but now at uni I finally feel like I'm some way to achieveing my dreams, whatever they may be for that day! (Whether it's SM or Drama Therapy or Acting etc....)
Anyway, you've probably heard enough from moi. I love you guys lots, be safe and love life! :)

Just a quick post though because I have a 10 am lecture tomorrow and I'm cream crackered! A couple of things my loves...
1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY electrictoes! (I realise this is over an hour late, but I have already text her and I went to her fammo birthday meal last sat and am going to her party this sat, so I am good friend, no?) I LOVE YOU PAULA :D
2. RIP Stephen Gatley. OMG this is so sad, I cannot believe he died, at only 33. For those of you that don't know, Stephen Gatley was an Irish singer and one fifth of boyband Boyzone (Who were huge in the UK in the 90's and reformed a year or so ago) and died the other morning when he didn't wake up from his sleep on holiday with his partner. It's a sad story as he was a great talent, and always seemed such a lovely guy, so I'm sure he will be missed. I saw him in 'Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat' in 2002, and can't believe that that beautiful young man, who helped my love of musical theatre (Jospeh was the second musical I ever saw) is now dead. I hope he is at peace. My condolences go out to his family and friends, especially his civil partner Andrew Cowles and the other four members of Boyzone, who must be devastated. Rest in Peace.
3. Last and not least, how are you guys?? Seriously, PLEASE leave me comments or links to your reccent blog posts, because I feel I have been a bad friend, and you know that I love you really!!!! <3

I KNOW I HAVEN'T POSTED FOR AGES...
This is because I moved to my uni (Portsmouth) on Saturday, and I don't have internet in my house yet. I only just got my UoP student card today so I've only been able to get into the computer suite/library today! Forgive? Hopefully I'll have internet in my house by Monday! Yay!
Anyway I just wanted to let you all know I'm alive, and loving uni, even if it is weird, strange and slightly stressful at times!! :)

*Spent the afternoon and evening with
electrictoesyesterday! We nearly got eaten by a man-eating pizza (Ok, it was our fault because we put it in the microwave... even though rickman_101and tiggerbrasilftold us not to...) but we had a fun day nonetheless! :D*Got new jeans, a coat and a few other bits for uni! Ahhh it's actually scary how much stuff I have to take with me... eek!

*A couple of cute Nuke/ATWT moments made me happy. I mean, sometimes I do get fed up of the outrageously dramatic stroylines but boy, get Van Hansis and Jake SIlbermann in a room, and give them a juicy scene, then they are AWESOMESAUCE! (And you also get lots of pretty!) But they had an argument scene, and then a make up scene with a greta kiss in yesterdays epi, so that makes me a happy bunny. Also looking forward to the whole Mason storyline... hoping they don't do the typical love triangle thing though... Because Luke and Noah have been through much worse so I doubt one prof is gonna split them up! (When did this turn into a fandom post???)
* I GOTS MY HAIRCUT XD Nothing dramatically different, what I had last time.... but I likes getting it cut. Actually I hate going to the hairdressers, because I hate people touching my hair, but I found this really nice one where they give you free drinks, and magazines FROM THIS YEAR and sometimes THIS MONTH (OMGZ) and all the staff are really friendly and cut my hair well, and it's not MEGA expensive... pics soon maybe... I just need to colour it again now...

*Went to oceana last night. It's my favourite club... they had karaoke and I danced the night away with my friends! So happy anniversary McDean fans! Can't believe it's been a WHOLE year! I miss them so much. Maybe they'll be back one day? XD I've gotten out on the soap reccently and that's sad. I guess I just didn't have time for a while, and I dunno. I missed Hannah and Justin leaving and Zoe and Sarah are scheduled to leave soon, so I'll probably not know what happened there either and all 4 of these characters were major players in my 'obsessed-with-hollyoaks' phase. (Which included everything from Lisa Hunter self harming, Joe and Olivia dying in the fire, Mandy and Tony splitting up, Becca and Justin, McDean, Niall and the McQueen's, Max and ClARE, Max's Death... and so much more...) Anyway.
